At the Maji, we are determined to minimize and reduce our carbon footprint by practice and awareness.Our intiatives include regular beach clean-ups,amongst our staff through the “Maji Green Team”, discouraging the illegal trade of shells and the destruction of the coral reef.

Our Conservation

The maji supports various conservation and Welfare charity organizations. This includes the Diani, Watamu Turtle watch , the Local Ocean conservation and the Colobus conservation which protects the threatened Angolan Colobus Monkey in its coastal habitat.

Our Community

The Maji supports many women groups, charities, orphanages and Youth self help groups locally. We are an equal rights employer and have an inhouse training program where we provide hands on training and exposure to young people interested the hospitality sector.
